Somatic Tracking

Somatic tracking is a tool used to re-appraise sensations in your body as safe and non-threatening in order to reduce the fear and therefore pain associated with the symptom. It is a powerful tool for re-wiring the nervous system’s response to pain and thereby decreasing pain pathways.

Yoga Classes

The style of yoga teaching I’ve adopted for working through chronic pain and symptoms I call Curiosity Yoga. There is no alignment-based dogma, no right or wrong way to do things, and no physical therapy style instruction. There is simply an encouragement to cultivate curiousity about the sensations, the thoughts, and the beliefs that come up around your body and yoga poses while you’re on your mat. This is the process that helped me get back to movement in a safe and empowering way as a person with chronic pain. I hope it helps you too!
